An incredible position has become available for an ambitious F&B Manager who will ensure and support the F&B Management team as well as be responsible for managing all F&B operations and for delivering an excellent guest experience. The successful candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage all F&B orders, staff and finance. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement at one of the Algarve’s best 5 Stars Hotel. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a professional, challenging rewarding environment where the standards set are consistently high.
As an F&B Manager, you will be the driving force behind the offering; responsible for planning, leading the team, developing the business and, menu development for all F&B outlets. You also proactively manage and co-ordinate all activities, including the day to day operations, whilst ensuring the highest levels of employee and guest satisfaction and achieve optimum financial returns for the hotel. You will create a working environment that supports organizational and core values.
The F&B Manager we are looking for:
- Is a self-motivated forward-thinking individual who brings proven F&B management with minimum 3-year experience in previous similar functions (Head of Department) 4- or 5-star Hotels;
- Demonstrates a high level of guest focus and service-mind and display that they have a solid financial and commercial awareness;
- Is a confident communicator with the ability to lead and develop the team; good planner and has excellent time management skills;
- Can hold high standards and further the success of the company;
- Has a hands-on approach and support needs at all levels;
- Enjoys working in a busy environment, and can deal with pressure;
- Is creative and enthusiastic;
- Has excellent communication skills; written and spoken English, Portuguese and another foreign language;
- Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies, and procedures;
- Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork;
- Analyses F&B costs and stocks and knowledge on HACCP;
- Act´s as a Hotel ambassador, maintaining direct and frequent contact with guests, especially during the most important moments of their stay, such as breakfast, lunch, dinner and/or any events or meetings (banquets, coffee breaks, etc.) that they always feel accompanied;
- Has schedule flexibility and mobility;
- Will be a “Doer” (making things happen with energy and efficiency)
