Our client is a 5* Golf & Ocean club just 100Km south of Lisbon
Our cliente is one of Portugal´s leading 5 Stars Hotel & Golf Resort, located just 100km south of Lisbon, is looking to identify and select a creative and inspiring leader as Executive Chef. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a professional, challenging rewarding environment where the standards set are consistently high.
As Executive Chef you will be responsible for creating an overall vision and plan for all restaurants. You will design and innovate restaurant menus to suit the restaurant theme. You will design new dishes to fit the menu and work towards the fidelization of customers so that they may return and try out new dishes. You will develop menus and item pricing as well as source unique ingredients for the menus and keep stock levels fully up-to-date. You will keep the kitchen fully equipped with all tools and inventory and ensure that the quality of the food is consistently high and that hygiene standards are exceeded. Organizing, employing, training new staff and motivating staff in the kitchen and on the restaurant floor, organizing budgets and finances for the kitchen, assisting kitchen staff with food prep and recipe creation as well as purchasing food and supplies from vendors approved by the company are also your responsibly.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or related Culinary degree.
Minimum of 5 years of industry and culinary management experience.
Excellent knowledge of culinary ingredients and practices
Technical cooking and creative skills
Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff
Ability to delegate tasks as well as the ability to work in challenging environments, while maintaining high standards
Organizational and administrative skills
Food hygiene and food preparation qualifications
Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary.
