About the Job:
CME is looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support the delivery of a major Data Centre project in Portugal. This site-based role will focus on supervising and coordinating mechanical installations, including HVAC, chilled water, pipework, ventilation, and plant equipment, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications, quality standards, and program milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visible leadership in health and safety, ensuring mechanical activities are executed in accordance with project requirements and safe working practices;
- Direct and coordinate mechanical works, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, approved documentation and project objectives;
- Verify installation quality through inspections, reviews and close-out activities supporting commissioning and handover milestones;
- Support integrated project delivery through effective management of mechanical interfaces and construction priorities;
- Drive construction readiness and installation efficiency through proactive planning, workforce coordination and performance monitoring;
- Ensure all materials, plant and equipment meet project quality, certification and operational requirements prior to use.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within construction, MEP, industrial, mission-critical, Data Centre, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Solid technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, chilled water, pipework, ventilation, plant equipment, and associated mechanical infrastructure.
- Experience supervising mechanical installations across construction phases, including installation, testing, commissioning support, snagging, close-out, and project handover.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, method statements, construction schedules, and quality documentation.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- English level A2 minimum, with a proactive, safety-focused, and quality driven approach; previous experience in Data Centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, or technically complex environments will be considered an advantage.
