We are looking for an experienced Accountant, to oversee key accounting functions.

Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management
5+ years accounting/finance experience;
Accounting qualification, such as CPA or ACCA certification, is preferred
Strong understanding of accounting theory (IFRS a plus)
Previous experience working in an audit company or SOX compliance environment would be a bónus
Excellent English skills, both verbal and in writing
Excel proficiency is a must
Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes (preparing and reviewing journal entries, handling monthly accruals and performing account reconciliations and financial analysis)
Assist with analyzing financial results monthly, and report on variances to prior periods and to budget/forecast
Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls, and implement process improvements
Liaise with both Internal and External audit teams, including preparing supporting documentation and SOX compliant walkthrough documentation
Assist with quarterly reports, analyzing and correcting discrepancies in our ERP system
Collaborate cross-functionally with other business stakeholders, helping business decision-making by preparing cost and profitability analyses on a requested basis
Prepare and / or file local VAT returns and corporate tax accruals and filings
Oversee end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees
Maintain detailed payroll records to ensure compliance with tax regulations, labor law and company polices.
