STAIRS – People Advisors, a consulting firm specialized in executive search and leadership advisory, is supporting a leading hospitality group in Portugal in the recruitment of a Director of Human Resources to oversee the people strategy across multiple hotel properties.
The selected professional will play a key role in shaping culture, driving engagement, and ensuring HR excellence in a dynamic, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement the HR strategy aligned with business objectives across the group’s portfolio.
Partner with senior leadership to strengthen organizational culture and performance.
Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development.
Drive employee engagement initiatives, communication, and workforce retention.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies, and best practices.
Design competitive compensation and benefits frameworks for hospitality talent.
Use HR analytics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Hard Skills
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership roles.
Strong background in hospitality, tourism, or multi-site service environments.
Expertise in talent management, organizational development, and HR governance.
Solid knowledge of Portuguese labor law and HR compliance standards.
Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
