As a Wine Director Intern at Vila Vita Parc, you will immerse yourself in the art and science of wine service, learning from seasoned professionals and gaining hands-on experience with some of the most prestigious sommeliers in Portugal. With access to our expansive wine collection and the opportunity to collaborate with culinary teams across multiple dining outlets, you will refine your palate, deepen your knowledge, and cultivate your passion for wine. Your responsibilities will include:
Vila Vita Parc Branding and Commitment:
- Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to the values and mission of Vila Vita Parc, contributing to the preservation and strengthening of the brand's reputation and identity in all areas of operation.
- Represent and promote the Vila Vita Parc brand in all interactions and activities, ensuring that our standards of quality and excellence associated with our resort are maintained and reinforced.
Stock Management & Logistics:
- Support the management of goods flow and identification of needs.
- Participate in decision-making processes regarding which products should be sold in different contexts.
- Assist in the organization, storage, and management of various stock areas (3 warehouses).
- Monitor stock transfers between outlets and order processes.
- Support supplier contacts (initial approaches, purchase negotiations, and meetings).
Menus & Gastronomic Concepts:
- Collaborate in the updating and printing of menus.
- Support the identification of menu changes and personalization needs according to the specific concept of each outlet.
Team Management & Training:
- Assist in preparing schedules and rotas for the sommelier team.
- Help organize the agenda for training sessions and tastings.
- Monitor and report the results of tasting sessions.
- Interact with direct supervisors and other departments, ensuring effective communication and operational alignment.
Events & Special Operations:
- Support the team during brainstorming sessions for the design of innovative event ideas.
- Provide logistical support for orders, rentals, and material organization.
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of team orientation briefings.
- Assist in the execution and follow-up of events, ensuring quality and consistency in the guest experience.
Inventory & Control:
- Assist in the maintenance and updating of inventories.
- Support the analysis of consumption and restocking needs.
- Contribute to reports and management indicators related to consumption and departmental performance.
